| dc.description | After the theater closed the building was converted into the "Shoppers Wharf" ; it was a canal-side shopping arcade. Unfortunately the building was seriously damaged by Hurricane Sandy. After the storm , the building was purchased by the Hesse family with the intention of restoring it to its original charm. Unfortunately the damage was worse than they realized, and the building had to be completely rebuilt. Today it has become a restaurant and bar. | |
