Tiger Inn was founded in 1890 and is one of the "Big Four" eating clubs at Princeton. Tiger Inn is the third oldest Princeton Eating Club. The clubhouse was built in 1895 in the Tudor style. Tiger Inn's membership was once described by F. Scott Fitzgerald in This Side of Paradise (1920) as "broad-shouldered and athletic, vitalized by an honest elaboration of prep-school standards." Tiger Inn members acted to form the first American Olympics team for the first modern Olympic games in Athens in 1896. Tiger Inn members have been both Princeton football players, and professional football players. The College Football Hall of Fame lists many TI members in its ranks.
