Description

These Catholic High Schools were and are located in the Bergen Section of Jersey City. Saint Dominic Academy is a private college-preparatory for girls in seventh through twelfth grades, located on Kennedy Boulevard Jersey City. The building once was the site of the former Carteret Club, an exclusive men�s club built in 1917. Academy of St. Aloysius was a private high school for girls operated by the Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth. The school closed in June 2006. The St. Aloysius High School was a private co-ed high school located on Westside Avenue in Jersey City. At one time it was a basketball powerhouse. The school closed at the end of the 2006-07 school year. Hudson Catholic Regional High School is a regional four-year co-educational University-preparatory Catholic high school in Jersey City.
