dc.descriptionOne of the most recognizable buildings on Bridge Street was the old Shoppers Wharf Building. Originally built in 1898 to serve as the borough hall and post office. It even included a jail cell. In 1918 it was converted into The Lorraine Theater. The theater charged only 10 cents to watch a movie and stayed in business from the 1930s to the late 1970's.
