dc.descriptionIn 1995 New Jersey Department of Transportation and New Jersey Transit announced the construction of a new light rail line in Hudson County and Bergen County. The plans included the construction of a new station on the site of the original CNNJ Station. New Jersey Transit officials held an official groundbreaking ceremony on October 15, 2008 and it was completed in January 2011. It is a replica of the former Central Railroad depot.
