This historic church building at the junction of Broad Street and Sycamore Avenue in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, a location known as the historic "Four Corners" because the intersection hosts the Allen House, the Quaker Meeting House, the Presbyterian Church, and the Shrewsbury Historical Society. It is an Episcopal Parish that was organized in 1702 and received a charter from the King in 1738 which is on display in the church. The church, in use every Sunday, was built in 1769 to replace the small initial 1738 structure. The original church was used as a barracks during the Revolutionary War, resulting in a bullet hole in the steeple gilt ball and a musket ball embedded in the original pulpit. Many settlers of Monmouth County are buried in the graveyard surrounding the church whose earliest grave marker is dated 1719. Numerous historic items including: the 1716 "Vinegar" Bible, communion service donated by Queen Anne in the early 18th century, an exquisite set of Gothic revival stained glass windows dating to 1867. In addition, the historic 1874 Odell tracker organ, a bell cast in France in the 18th century that still tolls the hour, and original canopy pews
