dc.descriptionIn 1954 the owners of Morven Governor and Mrs. Walter Edge donated Morven to the state stipulating that it was to be used as the Governor's mansion or a museum. After the Governor�s Mansion was relocated in 1982, Morven went through an extensive restoration and archaeological investigation. Morven re-opened as a museum and garden in 2004. Today, Morven boasts five acres of gardens, a collection of fine and decorative arts and a second floor that serves as a changing exhibit space with new shows opening every few months.
