Sir, I have concluded to take Cyrus at £90. I spoke to Mr. Furman about the Money & at the same Time mentioned that I expecks the Title to him would be clear before I paid the Money he tells me that you mentioned nothing to him on this Head-Either a Discharge from the Attachm; or an Engagem. [elevated e] upon the Part of the Asignees that I shall keep [first word of next line blocked by scrap of paper, likely “him”] will be expected when the Money [page torn-possibly where scrap goes. Written on the scrap “is to”, likely next two words in sentence] be paid. I should be glad he would retur[letter n on scrap of paper, likely fits at end of this line] assoon [SIC] as convenient-my Lad being hired [his?] Year is first up.
