Abstract
Description
Created by Camerob Ross as part of his Boy Scout American Eagle project.
It shows the Wick Family cured meats such as fish, beef and pork in their smokehouse. The meat was salted to season and to preserve. It was then hung from the rafters in the smokehouse and a smokey fire was built on the dirt floor using wet hickory and applewood wood logs. After several days the smoked meats were taken down, ready to eat oe to be stored for winter meals.
