dc.descriptionThis chapel is dedicated to the apparition of Mary to St. Bernadette Soubirous in Lourdes, France. It is also the place where Pope John Paul II prayed before the Blessed Sacrament during his visit to Sacred Heart Cathedral in 1995. The late pope used the kneeler in this chapel, and a plaque on the wall commemorates his historic visit. The chapel is filled with Marian imagery, including an Annunciation scene in the stained glass.
