Abstract

Description

The painting inside of the dome of St. Lucy's Church represents the Feast of Pentecost. This feast commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles of Jesus while they were in Jerusalem. The impressive murals were done by Gonippo Raggi, who also worked on the Cathedral-Basilica of the Sacred Heart.
