dc.descriptionSt. Aedan's Parish was founded in 1912 by in the early 1900�s by the Irish-American, Catholic community just south of Journal Square. It was named for St. Aedan (550-632) of County Wexford, Ireland, in honor of the founding Irish-American workers and their families. It was built on the highest point in Jersey City.
