dc.descriptionMembers of the Spangenberg family, however, felt they were being cheated of their heritage. For, while many family members had resided in the village, the only building receiving a Spangenberg name was the little cabin where bachelor Lester Spangenberg resided. Of the few buildings that remained when the village was taken over by the National Park Service, one dwelling was named �The Trauger House,� that Spangenberg family members assert served as home to their Civil War ancestor.
