dc.descriptionViking Village is the homeport to many members of the East Coast's Longline Fleet. The fishing fleet, docked at Viking Village on Long Beach Island, is one of the largest suppliers of seafood on the East Coast bringing in around five to six million pounds of fish in the course of one year. This commercial fleet did not escape Hollywood. One of the vessels in this fleet was the model for the boat used in the movie "The Perfect Storm" as the ill-fated Andrea Gail.
