Codey. Governor Richard J. Codey (2002, 2004-2006)

Richard J. Codey served as Acting Governor in his capacity as President of the New Jersey Senate. He also became Governor in 2004 to fill the unexpired term of Governor McGreevey. Richard James Codey (born November 27, 1946) served as the 53rd Governor of New Jersey from November 2004 to January 2006. He has served in the New Jersey Senate since 1981 and served as the President of the Senate from 2002 to January 2010.
